About The Coach House

The Coach House is a swanky stone-built lodge in the Yorkshire Dales. The Yorkshire Dales offers endless walking trails and cycling routes right from your doorstep. Private hot tub for evening soaks after a day of hiking - nothing beats watching the sunset with a glass of fizz while the jets work their magic on your tired muscles!

This spacious lodge sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms - one king-size and one twin. The open-plan living area features a wood burner for cosy nights, fully equipped kitchen and dining space perfect for family meals. The bathroom includes both a bath and shower, while outside you'll find a private garden with BBQ facilities and that all-important hot tub.

Bedrooms are much bigger than they look in photos. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable with quality linens.

Everything we needed for cooking was provided. The welcome hamper with local Yorkshire treats was a lovely touch.

By Car

To reach The Coach House by car, take the A6108 from Ripon towards Masham, then follow signs to Fearby. The lodge is located on the edge of the village with clear signage and you'll find ample parking on arrival.

For rail travelers, the nearest station is Northallerton, about 20 miles from the property. From there, you'll need to take a taxi to complete your journey to the Yorkshire Dales location.

We are returning visitors, as we love The Coach House! It is situated in a lovely quiet area, a stones throw from Carisbrooke Castle. The Coach House is cosy and comfortable where everything you might need has been thought of.

Lovely cottage inside and out. Decoration internally was absolutely beautiful it was like you were home from home. Nice little welcome basket of goodies on the kitchen table on arrival and a small bottle of milk in a churn bottle int he fridge. Use of the hot tub as well, which was great on evenings after a long day. Nici and Dave were very friendly, to the point Nici came out to service the hot tub at 9pm when a fault occured. Try the Cluckerford Hens eggs which Nici puts out daily scrumptious
Wonderful relaxing cottage and garden. No disturbance from the owners. At our last cottage on the island the owner kept appearing and chatting every time we stepped outside. Their chickens provided extremely tasty eggs. Lovely walk to Carisbrooke Castle Google said 7 minutes.

My second visit to the lovely cottage with a great welcome pack! . It's a very picturesque location, near to Carisbrooke Castle and an easy walk or bus ride into Newport if you don't want to drive. There are plenty of local walks too. Enjoyed the Italian restaurant just a 10 minute walk away. Helpful and friendly host already planning my next visit.

The Coach House is extremely comfortable, cosy and very well equipped and clean. Location is great and peaceful so makes a great base for venturing out from and on your return can easily relax after a busy day. Hot tub amazing and in a great location on the property. Fantastic accommodation in a lovely peaceful location. The house feels like a home as soon as you arrive, its clean and very tastefully decorated, and has everything you could need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. A very generous welcome pack on arrival thank you Nici the milk, tea and coffee very much appreciated after a long journey. We all dogs and humans loved our walks around Carisbrooke Castle and local fields, and the dogs loved paddling in the ford on the way back. The house is in a great location to explore the island and lovely to come back to after long days sightseeing, especially being able to relax in the hot tub. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so we made the most of our days out. Nici is really friendly and helpful, even putting extra boarding up to stop our small dog potentially escaping from the garden. Very reassuring to know that the garden is secure. We would absolutely love to stay at the Coach House again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

Arrived home last night after a lovely week at our favorite the Coach House. Nici and Dave as always the perfect and generous hosts ensuring you have a happy stay. As always sad to leave and we and our dogs, Teddy and Sidney, enjoyed an idyllic week in perfect accommodation and location . Enjoyed our local walks, visiting old and new haunts, peace and tranquility and the much needed recharging of the batteries. Highly recommended and we will be back. This cottage was great for a family of five and two dogs. Lovely big kitchen, great facilities. Cupboard in the living room with board games and jigsaw puzzles that were much appreciated on rainy days and in the evenings. My girls loved the hot tub which was in its own little secluded part of the garden. Beds were very comfortable and the whole cottage was clean and nicely decorated. It had a very homely feel and the lovely and friendly owners were available for any questions we had. Local shops about a ten minute walk away and in the other direction, Carisbrooke Castle and public footpath across water meadows and farmland great for walking the dogs on a lead again a few minutes walk. Highly recommend this cottage and we definitely plan on booking again. Thank you for a great holiday!

This was our second time at The Coach House. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need! We had a lovely comfortable stay and a great welcome basket too. The central Island location is ideal as a base to travel out from and we really enjoyed walks around the local lanes and up to the Castle too.

A very definite five star holiday accommodation. The owners are extremely friendly and so very helpful and the home has everything needed for a great holiday. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The garden and outside space are great with the hot tub being an added bonus. We had the most amazing stay in the Coach House. 5 Nights It was lovely being so close to Carisbrooke Castle too, which can be seen from the garden. Time to relax in the hot tub when it was raining, then out later in the day. The hot tub is a great temperature too and easy to work. Property was very clean and beautifully furnished. A lovely IOW goody basket filled with tasty treasures from around the island was left on the kitchen table for us. Great garden especially for us and our two dogs. No need to worry about your pooches when your in the tub. Just outside the front door to the left there are fresh eggs to buy from your hosts chickens. Very nice treat for breakfast. Fantastic host very friendly and good with all communications. We will be returning to your beautiful home. Thank you.

Very welcoming host, warm, extremely clean and well equipped cottage. A lot of thought has gone into providing everything we could possibly want during our stay. The nautical theme of well chosen accessories gave the impression that the hosts wanted you to feel that they had made every effort to make you feel at home. The location is very peaceful but with pubsshops nearby and plenty of room to park. Thank you and hope to be back again soon.

We have a fabulous time in The Coachhouse. It was perfect for the needs of a family of 4 with a small dog. The cottage was warm, comfortable and perfectly located in a lovely area close to Newport and overlooked by Carisbrooke Castle which was a short walk from the cottage. Our Host Nici couldnt do enough to help us, even offering to meet us near Cowes when we realised we had left a coat behind after we left for home. We highly recommend and will be back.

The Coach House was beyond our expectations. As we arrived Nici was there to greet us and we immediately felt very welcome and at home. There was a welcome basket of local produce which we enjoyed very much. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well decorated, light and airy and the beds were extremely comfortable. The courtyard and the garden were secure so we had no worries about our dog, Kofi escaping. The hot tub was used every day after our days explorations of the island. A lovely way to end the day. The location of the Coach House was ideal for getting around and we could also walk to and around Carrisbrook Castle with Kofi from there which we did every morning. Nici was at hand if we needed her. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our fresh eggs from her hens. We are looking forward to visiting again.
