Station Avenue Reviews

Joanne
Great stay in a very comfortable well equipped house. Also in a great location with only a short walk to the beach and shops and a park nearby.
Matthew
Good location for walking to seafront. Comfortable rooms. Overall a lovely stay.
The house was perfect for our family. Loads of room and even toys for the kids which was a great bonus. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub was used everyday and needed after all the walking which we all did. The beds were very comfortable and a great nights sleep was had by all. I simply loved this house. The only downside was the water pressure of the showers. But in the scheme of things this is the only negative. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who has a large family. We was there with 4 generations and it was perfect.
We had a wonderful week at 34, Station Avenue! The house is a bit of a tardis from the street, it looks like a normal terraced house but there is so much space inside! On arrival, the owners had thoughtfully left us bread and milk plus some biscuits thank you so much. All the interior design was lovely, with high ceilings and original features which made it feel quite grand, and the whole house felt bright and well presented. My husband particularly loved all the lamp shades! My children LOVED having their own kids lounge, all the bedrooms were well proportioned with really comfy mattresses, the kitchen and dining room were great and it was handy having the utility space. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub it got a fair bit of use! Sandown felt a bit rundown, but its really well positioned to explore lots of other places on the island. The house is also really close to the High Street, where there is a Coop and Sainsburys. The only negatives were the showers, which were lovely and hot but just didnt have much power to them. Apparently they were being replaced the week after we left! The oven also took a bit of working out some instructions would have been helpful but we got there! We all said its the best holiday house weve stayed in and would thoroughly recommend it for other families. We were parents, two children aged 12 and 10, and my motherinlaw with her small dog. Thank you so much!
The house is very comfortable and very well equipped . There would have been 10s all round if the showers were not so poor and the towels were double the size.
Stewart
Great property. . Needs some TLC especially outside around the hot tub area. Some paint and a freshen up with some planting would work wonders. Internally the upstairs bathroom could do with updating to make it more friendly and pleasing to the eye. Sandown needs a decent restaurant. Our experience took us to Shanklin outside of the Indian 'Cardamon' restaurant in Sandown which was very good...
