Spring Cottage, Arundel

Spring Cottage is a charming thatched cottage in Yapton, West Sussex, close to the South Downs National Park. It sleeps 8 guests in four bedrooms and makes a lovely base for families or friends. A hot tub sits in the enclosed garden and an open fire warms the living and dining room on cooler evenings.

The ground-floor king-size bedroom has direct access to the garden and an en-suite with a walk-in shower. Upstairs there are two further king-size bedrooms and a fourth room has a truckle bed with two 3 ft mattresses. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. Exposed beams run through the cottage and soft lighting adds to the calm atmosphere.

The kitchen has original exposed wooden beams, a double oven, a gas hob, a fridge, a freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. The lounge and dining area has an open fire and a Smart TV, with seating for eight. WiFi is included, along with fuel, power, a starter pack for the open fire, bed linen and towels. A cot and a highchair are available.

Outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn, a patio, gravel areas, furniture and the hot tub, so you can dine al fresco or soak as the sun sets. There is off-road parking for three cars, with EV charging available and two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The village shop is 0.2 miles away and the nearest pub is 1.1 miles.

Arundel Castle is nearby and Goodwood Motor Circuit, home to the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival, is a 20 minute drive. Climping Beach is good for dog walking and the Black Horse at Climping has been awarded the Muddy Stilettos title of Best Destination Pub in Sussex. Littlehampton is 4.3 miles away, Bognor Regis 5.2 miles and Chichester 9.3 miles.
