Palm Tree Cottage, Sandown

The accommodation looked top notch and almost all appliances and furniture were first class. The beds are super comfortable with good quality linen. The welcome pack items were a nice touch. We didnt use the hot tub as the outside area wasnt particularly clean with debris on furniture and surfaces. This was disappointing as the weather was good during our stay. At first glance the property looked pretty clean but then I noticed under the bed a build up of dust and fluff. Unfortunately this was repeated under the 2 chesterfields with the addition of old dog biscuits and crisps. One other concern is with the bins as they were all full. These are all problems that can be dealt with. Would we go back? Yes we would if the cleaning inside and out was improved plus having the bins available to use including the provision of a food waste caddy.

The palm tree cottage is a stunning property with hot tub, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, comfortable sleep, everything you need is there especially when it comes to dining, perfect for if you are travelling as a family. Dog friendly, the garden is fully secure all the way around, with great walks on your door step. Our stay was perfect, the property was mostly clean but minor places got missed from the cleaners build up minor things such as cobwebs, behind things and inside the chest of draws had derbies, the hoover brushes are backed up with hair effecting its efficiency. But this didnt not impact our stay at all and would definitely book again, thank you for fab place to stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at Palm Tree Cottage. The house was clean and there were well maintained facilities. There was a microwave, double air frier, hob, oven, coffee pod Nespresso machine and even an electric frothy drinks maker, dish washer, washing machine, tumble dryer, hoover, hair drier and more..... Hot tub was clean and warm and easy to use. Beds comfortable. Close to the beach and. Sandown 's high street. We all felt well looked after.

Another brilliant holiday at Palm Cottage! Has all the facilities you could need for a really relaxing holiday. Can't wait to be back next year.

Exterior could do with a clean lots of cobwebs, interior needs touching up in places and again some attention to detail . A great home from home with lovely kitchen appliances ,EV charger a big plus ,

We absolutely loved Palm Tree Cottage, it was set in a really convenient position, close to Sandown, the beach and had a lovely park space a couple of minutes around the corner. Brilliant for walking our dog. The hot tub was a bonus and it was so relaxing to spend time in the garden reading and having a glass of something. The only tiny issue was the TV, we couldnt get normal TV channels easily, but saying that we did learn how to watch TV in a slightly different way through Jos advice, thanks Jo. Overall, we had a fab time, loved Palm Tree and would love to return next year

Palm tree cottage is an excellent property, well equipped & well looked after. It is well located in a quiet area of Sandown, but still close enough to the beach & the bars, shops & restaurants. Whilst there was an initial issue on arrival, this was quickly & satisfactorily resolved. Excellent customer service. The bedrooms were very good, in particular the main bedroom with the ensuite bathroom. We loved the outside area with the hot tub. A little sun trap, private & usually peaceful. The only exception being on our last day when there were noisy builders working at the next door property!!

We loved the cottage and have already, booked for 2025. My only suggestion is working instructions should be available for all electrical equipment. We had several issues where we had to phone for help this could have been avoided if instructions were available, especially the TV where login details were not available. Thank you for your help Jo.

This property is beautiful, we all loved the cottage. It was clean and tidy the hot tub was lovely, we used it a few times to help out achy bones after the walking we did. It's in a great location with easy access to the coastal path. The owner was great with her communication. I would definitely return to this property and I would 100 recommend this property to family and friends.

Property was lovely in a great location. The TV was a bit complicated to use but Ed very kindly came over and sorted it out for us. The hot tub was a bonus and very nice garden furniture which is not shown in any of the photographs. The only minor issue we had was the cleaning, bedding, etc was spotless but fridge and freezer had not been cleaned out and there was quite a bit of food from the previous occupant, we also found a plate of cooked chips in the microwave, a bit more attention to detail from the cleaner would be a recommendation. Overall though would thoroughly recommend this property.

Lovely property and location. Few teething issues with housekeeping at check in but these were resolved with help from Jo. The hot tub is so relaxing and the cottage has top notch quality accessories. Would recommend this cottage and we certainly plan to revisit and stay soon...

Booked Palm tree cottage on the Isle of Wight this summer and was meet with poor cleaning conditions , bins full up from previous occupants in a heat wave, clothes from previous, food in cupboards from previous. Dirty baking trays, stained cups, dog hair, cobwebs and dust everywhere and unusable bbq .As it was the summer holidays, we couldnt find other accommodation and to come home early. It would have cost another 300 for the ferry. Called Sykes as soon as we got back and provided photos. Was originally told that owners would be contacted , hopefully resolved within a few days or they would take the matter further. Nearly two weeks later and all emails and messages were ignored. Finally got through today and spoke to an arrogant, rude and unprofessional agent who told me he would be happy to hear from my solicitor and Sykes are basically money grabbers. Dont book the cottage or use this company.

It's a lovely bungalow, quite place, walkable distance to beach. We family with 3 kids enjoyed while staying here, kitchen and laundry is well equipped. Host was very kind and response quickly. Few negative like cleanliness of the hot tub and pets hairs around the dinning area. Other than that this is lovely place to visit and stay for relax, we really love to return to this place some time, thank you.

A clean and very well equipped holiday rental in a quiet postion in Sandown ideal for exploring the Isle of Wight. The housekeeper and owner were very accomodating sorting out any queries and issues

We greatly enjoyed the location as quiet yet close to beach, cycle paths and shops. We were surprised that there was no holiday accommodation information pack to say when to put bins out or how to use equipment or house rules. Pleased there was a local map, and kitchen was so well equipped. Greatly enjoyed hot tub and privacy. Would love to return. Thank you.

Really well equipped with everything you would need for your stay

We have just returned from our stay at Palm Tree Cottage and reluctantly May I add. We had a wonderful weeks stay. The cottage is cosy, comfy and has everything you need. We had a problem with the TV but we phoned the owners and it was solved instantly and they were very friendly. If I say anything as a negative I would say just a few notes to let you know how some times work just a small thing but would help other than that nothing as perfect and we would love to return one day thank you

A wonderful bungalow, furnished with good quality items throughout, very well though out with everything u could need to be able to relax and enjoy ur holiday. Very spacious property which was lovely and clean. The hot tub was great . Our family loved our time here and we will definitely be back.
