To reach Palm Tree Cottage by car, take the ferry to either East Cowes or Fishbourne. From East Cowes, follow the A3021 and A3054 to Newport, then the A3056 to Sandown. From Fishbourne, take the A3054 to Ryde, then the A3055 to Sandown.
For those traveling by rail, take the train to Portsmouth or Southampton, then the ferry as a foot passenger to Ryde. From Ryde, the Island Line train runs directly to Sandown station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the cottage.
