Bird hides are provided, including one hide being suitable for those with limited mobility. There are excellent walks in every direction; travel north for a good brisk walk along the beach to Beadnell or travel south and you reach Embleton Bay, Dunstanburgh Castle and Craster, where you can sample the delights of a crab sandwich in the Jolly Fisherman or pick up some kippers from Robson's famous smokery.
